Our Dentists

Dr. Merih Tanyel was born in 1981 in Istanbul. She graduated from Basınköy Primary School in 1992 and Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School in 1999. She attained her master’s degree from the Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul University in 2004. In the same year, she started studying in the PhD program in the Department of Periodontology at the Institute of Health Sciences of Istanbul University. During her PhD years, she worked in the fields of immunology and genetics as well as applied clinical training. She attained her PhD degree with the presentation of her thesis named ‘Genetic Polymorphisms in Individuals with Periodontitis’ in 2010. Then, she was entitled to the titles of “Phd” and ‘Periodontology Specialist’. Between 2009 and 2017, she worked as a periodontology specialist in various clinics in Istanbul. Since 2015, she has been working as a dentist, periodontology specialist (gum diseases and surgery) in the Net Surgery and Aesthetic Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic, in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. She is the co-founder of Net polyclinic.  Her professional interests are gum diseases (periodontitis), dental implantology, laser-assisted dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, digital dentistry, and dental photography. She is a member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), and the Turkish Dental Association (TDB).  She frequently follows up and attends international and national congresses with interest. Dr. Dt. Merih Tanyel is fluent in German and English. She is interested in traveling, photography and diving. She is married and has two children.
